TaskHawk Systems. Builders of Kevros.
TaskHawk Systems, LLC builds cryptographic enforcement infrastructure for autonomous AI systems. Kevros is the first product: a fail-closed release-token gate backed by a hash-chained evidence ledger and a formally verified protocol. The company operates under the trade name TaskHawk and is headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Founder
John McGraw founded TaskHawk Systems in 2025 after more than a decade in technology operations, information security, and regulated research administration at the University of Virginia. His prior roles included supporting the university's Electronic Research Administration (ERA) program, infrastructure work for export-controlled research, sponsored- programs compliance, and federally funded grant operations. A background that aligned directly with the compliance and audit constraints Kevros is built to satisfy.
The technical and commercial direction of Kevros is led directly by the founder. McGraw is the primary author of the TLA+ specification of the release-token protocol, the ML-DSA-87 cosign signer, the agent SDK, and the compliance suite that produces the hash-chained evidence ledger. Three patent applications on the release-token primitive and the permission-before-power architecture were filed by the founder and are pending with the USPTO.
