Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective date: June 20, 2026. Last updated: June 20, 2026.
1. Scope
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to purchases of Kevros digital services, API access, software subscriptions, marketplace software charges, direct checkout purchases, invoiced services, and approved programmatic API billing channels provided by TaskHawk Systems, LLC ("TaskHawk," "we," "us," or "our").
Kevros is a digital software and API service. TaskHawk does not sell physical goods through this site, so there is no return shipping process for Kevros software, hosted services, API calls, cloud marketplace subscriptions, or agentic-commerce purchases.
2. How To Request A Refund Or Cancellation
Send refund, cancellation, billing-adjustment, or return-policy questions to billing@taskhawktech.com. If that mailbox is unavailable, use support@taskhawktech.com.
Please include the following information so we can identify the purchase:
- Your name, organization, and contact email.
- The purchase channel: AWS Marketplace, direct invoice, hosted checkout, Stripe, x402, L402, or another approved programmatic channel.
- For AWS Marketplace: AWS account ID, Agreement ID, Offer ID, invoice ID, product plan, and purchase or cancellation date, if available.
- For hosted checkout or Stripe: customer ID, invoice ID, Checkout Session ID, PaymentIntent ID, receipt email, or transaction timestamp, if available.
- For x402, L402, or other programmatic API payments: request ID, endpoint, rail, payment hash or transaction reference, timestamp, and the API response received.
- The amount requested and the reason for the request.
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within five business days and to provide an approval, denial, or request for additional information within ten business days after we have the information needed to evaluate the request.
3. Direct, Hosted Checkout, Stripe, And Agentic-Commerce Purchases
- Subscription fees, prepaid digital service access, and API access charges are generally non-refundable once the service is provisioned, consumed, or the paid API operation has been completed, except as required by applicable law or as stated in this policy.
- We may approve a full or partial refund or account credit for duplicate charges, billing errors, non-delivery of purchased access, material service unavailability caused by TaskHawk, or unused prepaid access where no production use occurred.
- Settled x402, L402, Lightning, on-chain, or other programmatic per-call API payments are final once the associated governance, verification, attestation, binding, scan, or bundle operation has completed. TaskHawk may still issue a discretionary credit or refund for a verified billing error, duplicate payment, security event, failed operation, or legal requirement.
- Payment card numbers, banking credentials, and full financial account information must not be submitted to the Kevros enforcement API or any TaskHawk-operated conversational interface. Approved agentic-commerce flows must use secure hosted, marketplace, or payment-provider interfaces.
4. AWS Marketplace Purchases
For AWS Marketplace purchases, TaskHawk's refund policy applies to TaskHawk software charges, while AWS Marketplace terms and AWS billing workflows govern how cancellations, credit memos, and billing adjustments are processed. We will process eligible AWS Marketplace refunds or cancellations through AWS Marketplace billing-adjustment or cancellation workflows rather than issuing an off-platform refund for the same marketplace charge.
- 48-hour cancellation window: If AWS Marketplace permits self-service cancellation and refund for the relevant public subscription or usage-based purchase within 48 hours, the buyer may use the AWS Marketplace cancellation flow. Where seller action is required, contact TaskHawk using the contact method above.
- Free trial conversion: If an AWS Marketplace free trial converts to paid usage and AWS policy authorizes a refund for eligible software charges accrued within the applicable trial-conversion window, TaskHawk will honor that AWS Marketplace process.
- Private offers and negotiated contracts: Refunds, cancellations, downgrades, or billing adjustments for private offers require TaskHawk review and authorization, and may also require action by the seller of record or channel partner.
- Metering or entitlement errors: If TaskHawk caused a metering, entitlement, or billing error, we will initiate or support an AWS Marketplace billing adjustment for the affected software charge.
- Future billing: Cancellation stops future eligible software charges after the cancellation takes effect. Past invoices or usage charges require a separate billing adjustment when a refund is approved.
- AWS infrastructure charges: Cloud infrastructure, data transfer, storage, tax, support, and other AWS account charges are separate from TaskHawk software charges and are governed by AWS and the customer's AWS account terms.
- Final processing: Once AWS processes an approved billing adjustment, cancellation, credit memo, or refund, that AWS Marketplace transaction may not be reversible by TaskHawk.
5. United States Customers
For United States customers, refund eligibility is governed by this policy, the purchase channel terms, any signed order form or marketplace agreement, and any non-waivable rights under applicable federal, state, or local law. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
6. EU Consumer Rights And Mandatory Law
If you are an EU consumer buying at a distance, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain online purchases within 14 days. For digital content or digital services, however, that withdrawal right may end or become limited once you expressly request immediate access or performance and acknowledge that beginning the digital supply may remove or limit the withdrawal right.
EU consumers may also have mandatory legal guarantees for digital content and digital services that are not supplied, are faulty, are not as described, or do not work as required by applicable law. If mandatory EU law gives you a remedy that is broader than this policy, TaskHawk will honor the mandatory legal remedy.
Business, enterprise, cloud marketplace, and public-sector purchases are usually governed by the applicable contract, marketplace terms, or procurement terms, subject to any mandatory law that applies.
7. Processing Method And Timing
- Approved hosted-checkout or Stripe refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where the payment provider supports it.
- Approved AWS Marketplace refunds are processed through AWS Marketplace as a credit memo, billing adjustment, cancellation, or refund according to AWS billing workflows.
- Approved direct invoice credits may be applied as account credit or refunded through the original payment method when commercially reasonable.
- On-chain, Lightning, x402, L402, and other programmable payments may be technically irreversible. If a refund or credit is approved, TaskHawk may issue an account credit or a separate refund through an available payment channel rather than reversing the original transaction.
- Taxes, VAT, and marketplace fees are refunded or credited only as required by the payment provider, marketplace, tax law, or the applicable purchase agreement.
Processing times depend on the payment provider, marketplace, bank, card network, or cloud account billing cycle. We cannot control third-party settlement timing after a refund or credit is submitted.
8. Abuse, Fraud, Sanctions, And Security
TaskHawk may deny, pause, or escalate a refund request when we reasonably believe the request involves fraud, abuse, sanctions or export-control risk, chargeback misuse, unauthorized use, violation of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, or an attempt to avoid paying for completed service usage. Security-sensitive requests may require additional verification before processing.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted on this page is the current public policy for purchases made through TaskHawk-supported channels unless a signed order form, marketplace private offer, or mandatory law provides a different rule.
